About the Program
Transform your skills and advance your career.
The pediatric physical therapy residency stems from a growing pediatric population, enthusiastic and knowledgeable faculty, and program support from organizational leadership.
At the end of your training, you will be a competent, compassionate, and intellectually curious pediatric physical therapist. We are proud of the unique resources we offer the next generation of pediatric physical therapists and are thrilled to take the next steps with you on your path to becoming a board-certified pediatric physical therapist.
Our faculty members have embraced the mission of the pediatric physical therapy residency program to prepare and educate residents to effectively service families and children in the greater Lehigh Valley. We actively partner with the resident to become an independent competent, and compassionate pediatric physical therapist.
Building the necessary skills.
The Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency fosters an environment that facilitates attainment of positive patient outcomes through knowledge and use of advanced evidence-based clinical skills. Residents will be prepared to take the ABPTS pediatric specialist exam upon completion of the residency. The pediatric physical therapy residency will improve the therapist’s knowledge, skills, and clinical decision-making in an environment where we maximize clinical proficiency and psychomotor skills.
Driven to provide high quality care.
Faculty strive to produce effective leaders in pediatric physical therapy while advancing clinical decision-making and expertise. Our faculty promote family-centered care and evidence-based practice. We aim to deliver high-quality care to the greater Lehigh Valley community through a nationally recognized sponsoring institution that is directly in line with the mission of St. Luke’s University Health Network: ‘Provide patients and the community with the best care, and to advance medical practice and technologies through quality research and innovation'.
