Homestar RX and Infusion Services provides Home Infusion and Specialty Medications that allow patients to be safely treated for serious infections or illness in the comfort of their own home. Infusion and Specialty Medications are prescribed for complex medical conditions and require special knowledge for collaboration and follow up with physicians, insurance companies, drug manufacturers, financial assistance programs and other health care providers.

HomeStar Pharmacy regular hours of operation include are Monday through Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. A pharmacist is on-call 24 hours-per-day, 7 days-per-week.

Our trained clinicians assess the needs of the patient with respect to the services provided. Patients are monitored and assessed according to the Plan of Service and measures are updated to ensure care that is timely, current and effective.

We are able to assist in obtaining necessary insurance authorizations and financial assistance.

Our staff monitors compliance and coordinates medication deliveries with the patient to assist in avoiding complications that may accompany medication non-adherence.

Homestar Mail Order Instructions
Using Homestar Mail Order Pharmacy is Easy! Please follow the instructions below.
Register with HomeStar
All first-time users of Homestar Mail Order pharmacy must complete a confidential registration form. One form can be completed for the entire family; please provide information for all dependents (spouse, children). This form will help minimize potentially harmful drug interactions and drug allergies.
We offer multiple options for Mail Order Registration:
• Complete the electronic registration form located on the Homestar Pharmacy page on MyNet or
• Complete and return a registration form via email to Homestar.Mailorder@sluhn.org, mail to Homestar Mail Order Pharmacy, 77 S. Commerce Way, Suite 230, Bethlehem PA 18017, or return by fax to 610-628-8901 or
• Requesting a Registration Forms via email at Homestar.Mailorder@sluhn.org or by calling a pharmacy representative at 610-628-8900.
• Registration Forms may also be available in your Human Resource department.
Payment Options
Prescriptions are shipped following receipt of payment. Payments can be made using any of the following: St. Luke’s Payroll Deduction, Check, Flexible Spending Account Debit Card, Debit Card, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Maintaining a current credit card, FSA card and/or employee badge number on file will expedite the prescription delivery time.
Methods to Submit Your Prescription Your physician must prescribe a 90-day supply.
• Electronic Prescription: Your provider must select Homestar MailOrder Pharmacy.

• Fax: 610-628-8901 (Law requires prescriptions be faxed by physicians’ office only.)

Transfer Existing Prescriptions
Call or email the Homestar Mail Order Pharmacy and provide the previous pharmacy’s name and phone number, your prescription number or the name(s) of medication(s). New Mail Order participants may provide this information on the Registration Form.
Request Refills
Request refills 24/7/365, requesting refills is EASY and can be done by:
• Using our automated refill system by calling 610-628-8900 or Toll free at 1-855-649-MEDS
• Online electronic refill requests can be done on MyNet (Go to Quick Links and click on Homestar Pharmacy Services -> Mail Order tab).
Always request your prescription refills early enough to allow time to have it processed and shipped to you. Most 90-day supplies of medication can be requested up to 21 days in advance. Controlled medications and some brand name medications may not be permitted to be filled 21 days in advance. Per SLUHN insurance regulations, refills cannot be filled automatically; you must request each refill. Do not wait until you are out or almost out of medication to request a refill.
Prior Authorization
Some medications require prior authorization (PA) from the insurance company. We can notify your Provider of the need for a PA; however, we will not be informed if/when the PA is approved. Please contact the pharmacy to request the prescription to be processed if you receive notification of approval of the PA.
Processing Time
Most prescriptions will be processed through our system within 5 days. Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive your medications.
Shipping
After payment is received, your prescription will be mailed to you at no additional cost via First Class US Mail. Please allow 2 weeks for processing and delivery of your medications. Shipping times may take longer due to delays in USPS. Maintaining a current mailing address and your personal email address will help to avoid shipment delays. All prescriptions will be shipped in discreet plain plastic envelopes or boxes. Medications requiring cold storage are shipped Monday through Thursday to assure the integrity of the medication.
Medication Counseling
Once you receive your prescription, our registered pharmacists are available to answer any questions regarding your prescription. Call us during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00am-6:00pm, and a pharmacist will answer any questions you may have.
Medication Returns
Federal law and regulations prohibit the return of prescription medications for reuse or resale. We cannot issue credits or refunds for prescription medications that are returned to our pharmacy. If you received damaged medication, please contact us immediately.
I have a prescription to fill ASAP, where do I fill it?
We encourage you to fill your maintenance medications through Homestar Mail Order Pharmacy. If you are prescribed a medication that must be taken immediately you may fill that prescription at your local Homestar Pharmacy or local independent or chain pharmacy per SLUHN Employee Health Plan guidelines.
