Research
All fellows participate in ongoing independent research. Time is provided to permit a meaningful research effort. Statistical support is available through the St. Luke’s University Hospital. Recent subsection research topics have included radial versus femoral arterial access in assessing coronary bypass grafts and the factors associated with an increased likelihood of false or inappropriate acute MI team activation. In addition, the section has been a contributor to several of the recent TIMI trials. St. Luke’s University hospital is in the process of initiating a peer-reviewed clinical research journal.
