Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
Fellowship Support
Fellowship Support
Support is critical to maximize productive time in the lab. There are two interventional nurse practitioners working full time on the interventional service to do H&Ps, orders, and discharges, so that the fellow’s time is almost completely devoted to procedures. The cath lab technical staff and nurses have done an outstanding job of helping incoming fellows “learn the ropes” in a new environment. Karen Iavarone has been the Program Coordinator for both the general and interventional fellowship programs since their inception, and is highly experienced at facilitating administrative and personal issues.
