St. Luke’s Vascular Neurology Fellowship
Welcome to the Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program at St. Luke’s University Health Network. We are a Network of 12 hospitals, including one comprehensive and 11 primary stroke centers in one integrated unit. The Vascular Neurology Fellowship is a one-year ACGME accredited program accepting two fellows per cycle to provide advanced training in all aspects of stroke and vascular neurology. Treating over 2000 stroke patients per year network-wide, the fellow will gain wide expertise in the prevention, treatment of, and recovery from stroke in an open and welcoming environment. Further training is available to prepare the fellow for the administrative opportunities of organizing and advising a stroke program at all levels as well as research and quality improvement.
As an advanced stroke center, St. Luke’s remains on the leading edge of stroke care keeping with the most recent evidence and guidelines including the use of tenecteplase for acute ischemic stroke, treatment of wake-up strokes, and advanced perfusion imaging. In addition to developing expertise in acute care, the fellow in vascular neurology will gain experience with vascular ultrasound, neuroradiology including advanced diagnostics, and therapeutic opportunities to enhance stroke recovery
