Services
AV – Conference Room Scheduling Conference Room Scheduler
To schedule a conference room, classroom, lecture room, audio/visual equipment, conference lines and/or phone, submit either a web-request (Download and print instructions) or email AVConferenceRoomScheduling@sluhn.org.
Email requests must include the following information:
- Requestor's Name, department and cost center
- Date required
- Time room/equipment is needed and when it will end/be returned
- Name of the event
- Who is responsible and a contact number of that person
- Number attending event
- Room being requested (if you have a preference)
Borrowing Privileges
The standard loan period for authorized users is two weeks. Certain collections, such as manuals for student/resident rotations and management training, have extended loan periods. Renewals are permitted if no one else has requested the materials. Current issues of journals, directories, indices, reserve and reference books may not be removed from the Library.
Computing Services
Computers are available throughout the libraries for staff use and provide access to electronic resources, standard office applications, the internet and printing services.
Wireless access is available throughout the libraries, however only the free internet is available. Wireless printing is not available.
Interlibrary Loans (ILL)
Most materials not available in the network may be obtained through interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan requests will be filled for SLUHN staff and students to support the education, research and patient care functions of the network.
Before submitting the request please check the library Journal List. Although email or fax requests are preferred, phone requests are accepted. ILL requests may be emailed directly from PubMed, EBSCO or OVID, please include your name and department with the email request.
Interlibrary loan requests may be submitted to Emily Foster.
Interlibrary loan requests are accepted and filled based on compliance with the Copyright Law (Title 17, U. S. Code).
Research Support
Online searching training is provided in a classroom setting as well as on an individual basis through an appointment with one of the librarians.
