St. Luke’s Pre-Hospital Services provides necessary resources, feedback and advocacy to our EMS providers, firefighters, 911 dispatchers, police officers and other pre-hospital providers who are committed to serving our patients and communities. Part of our responsibility is to encourage, foster, and promote the continued development of an efficient pre-hospital system.  These goals are met by educating, communicating and developing a lasting collaborative bond between hospital clinicians, hospital administrators and first responders.

Pre-Hospital Liaison Roles


  • Ensure top decile EMS provider satisfaction and ensure EMS voices are heard
  • Continuously explore and deploy programs with/for EMS which improve EMS workflow, patient/customer satisfaction, and access to care
  • Serve as the first line health network contact for regional pre-hospital providers
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate educational opportunities for our pre-hospital community (including EMS Week activities)
  • Provide patient feedback for pre-hospital providers
  • Represent the St. Luke's University Health Network at regional EMS events and conferences
  • Assist the pre-hospital community in identifying and addressing concerns or suggestions related to St. Luke’s University Health Network
  • Propose and assist in the development of new programs and services based on the needs of the pre-hospital community
  • Assist Health Network Service Lines with maintaining accreditation's specific to EMS involvement
