Sports Performance Residency
Mission
The mission of the St. Luke’s Sports Performance Residency program is to develop high quality, well-rounded sports performance coaches by providing advanced didactic education and mentored, practical experiences while offering opportunities for autonomy and growth at St. Luke’s partnered school districts.
What is the Sports Performance Residency Program?
St. Luke’s Sports Performance Residency Program is for sports performance coaches looking to strengthen their skills, expand their knowledge, and advance their careers. Similar to the medical model of residency, extensive, immersive experience will be provided while mentorship and professional growth is fostered. Annually, a cohort of St. Luke’s Sports Performance Residents will be selected from a competitive field of applicants based on their education, experiences, their interview performance, and their passion for sports performance training. The resident will be assigned a mentor and to a St. Luke’s partnered school district as a sports performance coach. Additionally, the resident will engage in advanced education at Cedar Crest College to earn a graduate certificate, with the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in Integrative Exercise Science.
Why choose this program?
St. Luke’s Sports Performance Residency Program is ahead of the curve in the strength and conditioning field with such a model of advanced didactic and practical experience.
