Committed to delivering exceptional care
The teaching faculty are dedicated to cultivating effective leaders in Addiction Psychiatry. By providing high-quality care to the Lehigh Valley community through a nationally recognized sponsoring institution, we align with the mission of St. Luke's University Health Network (SLUHN): "To deliver the best care to patients and the community while advancing medical practices and technologies through quality research and innovation."
PROGRAMS GOALS
Supporting the achievements of our fellows
The goals of the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program are as follows:
- Cultivate physicians that understand bias and stigma associated with a diagnosis of substance use and how to combat these in medical settings.
- Train fellows to understand the concept of recovery model in patients with substance use disorder, including the principles dignity, self-determination, and strive to reach their full potential.
- Expose fellows to a diverse patient population through a large integrated health care network.
- Train in an environment committed to promoting a healthy work-life balance and life-long learning.
