What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? Favorite part of the residency is the people, including co-residents, faculty, and hospital staff.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I love that Bethlehem is the best of both city and small town living, with a variety of places, food, drinks, and activities.

Hobbies: Trying new foods, Marvel movies, video games, and going to the beach.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? From day 1, you are entrusted with treating the sickest of patients, but you also have a lot of help from senior residents who are willing to teach you and guide you through procedures and treatments. Our attendings also vary in their teaching style and training, which gives me an opportunity to see different practice styles. Lastly, we enjoy spending time outside of the hospital which makes going to work more enjoyable!
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? So many Food options! Quiet areas to live in, but also close by to larger cities like NYC and Philly for day trips.

Hobbies: Hiking, traveling, reading, baking, and going to the beach.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? St. Luke’s is a great program because everyone is incredibly supportive and helpful. I think we’re getting amazing training here and I’m confident that I will be able to independently make decisions and take care of my patients as an attending one day.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? Bethlehem is a great place to live because there is so much to do. It’s kind of a small city, but there’s so many outdoor activities to do in the area as well. There’s lots of festivals and breweries, but there’s also plenty of hiking and other athletic activities.

What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? I value the camaraderie with the attendings and residents. Attendings are very eager to teach and are laid-back. My co-residents are awesome and make going to work really enjoyable!
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? Lots of outdoor activities, great restaurants, & proximity to big cities.

Hobbies: I enjoy cooking, playing my bass guitar, binge watching TV shows, and working out so I can justify my weekly visit to Chick-fil-A.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? I appreciate the fact that faculty members in our program really value and care for residents.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I personally left the busy city life in the hopes of moving to some place that I can enjoy both peacefulness of the suburbs and yet get to enjoy a bit of city life if desired. Lehigh Valley seems to be the ideal place where you can enjoy both.

What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? The quality of the training and the variability in pathology are what I value most about the St. Luke's EM residency. Furthermore, as evidenced by early access to the COVID vaccine, it is nice to know that the administration values us.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? The Bethlehem area offers a lot of options for outdoor activities. Furthermore, it is easy to travel in and out of to explore surrounding regions.

What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? My favorite things about the residency are the friendly, easy-going faculty who genuinely care about my wellness and my co-residents who have become family.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I love that Bethlehem has all the big city stores and restaurants without the big city traffic and cost of living.
Hobbies: Playing ice hockey, soccer, golfing, hiking, biking and playing trivia.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? The people here, I really enjoy hanging out with my co-residents both at work and outside of work. Also, all of the attendings are very approachable and all very dedicated to our resident education.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I really enjoy outdoor activities, and there are plenty of hiking, running/biking trails, ski hills and more around the Bethlehem area. There are also a lot of good restaurants and fun festivals throughout the summer.
Hobbies: Biking, running, cooking, swimming, spending time with my family and friends, and no project in the kitchen is too big.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? Excellent team of approachable attendings with diverse practice styles who teach me things each and every shift.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? Great access to the outdoors for things like hiking and biking.

Hobbies: Hiking, downhill skiing, running with my dogs, musicals, and craft beer.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? The people. I know that everyone, attendings and co-residents alike, will have my back in any situation, and it creates an extremely supportive learning and working environment.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? During the summer months especially, there is a festival of some kind almost every weekend that are always a fun experience. This area also has a lot of great restaurants and breweries.
Hobbies: Reading, Weightlifting, Rec-league Sports, Bar Trivia, & Disc Golf.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? I value the camaraderie we have among the residents as well as with our attending faculty. We work very well together while on shift in the ER but we also often spend time together outside of our work responsibilities.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I love how the Bethlehem-Allentown-Easton area (“the Lehigh Valley”) has a little bit of everything: good restaurants (several hidden gems), a nice craft beer/brewery scene, tons of outdoor spaces for hiking and recreational sports (lots of cool disc golf courses), reasonable cost of living, and very little traffic during day-to-day driving.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? I value most the team that I get to work with every day. Not only do we support each other while at work, but we also have genuine friendships beyond that.

What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? Favorite part of the residency: laid-back, down-to-earth attendings and residents who will start to feel like extended family by the end of your three years.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? Best part of living in Bethlehem: good microbreweries and nice rail trails for running and biking.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? We’re a family and no matter who it is, they’ve got your back. It makes it a lot easier to train when you know and trust everyone you’re working with.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I have lived in Philadelphia so I appreciate that Bethlehem is only a short drive away from major cities.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? We have a very welcoming and supportive culture here with excellent faculty.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I really like the location, being in a smaller, charming city yet close to a major one in Philadelphia.

What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? The thing I value most about our residency is how close all of the residents and faculty are to each other. Everyone enjoys working together and we all want to see each other succeed. It's a very positive atmosphere and I genuinely feel like my co-residents and attendings are family.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? I didn't know much about Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley Area before I interviewed here. Now I know it is a hidden gem of a location. I have a wife and child and we live 20 minutes south of the hospital. This is an extremely safe, family-friendly area to live. We have tons of restaurants, zoos, parks, concerts (when there isn't a pandemic), and are less than an hour drive from Philly, with a significantly lower cost of living.
Medical School: Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Hobbies: Read (fiction), creative writing, spending days at the beach, trying new restaurants, & drinking LOTS of coffee.
What do you value most about the St. Luke’s Emergency Medicine Residency? I value the people most. I'm so incredibly proud of my co-residents both inside and outside of work. Being new to the Bethlehem area without any friends/family here, having a new adoptive family has kept me sane. They've also become close friends with my fiancé, making him feel at home here. Our attendings are some of the most amazing clinicians and people I have ever met. I have a new role model every day of the week.
What do you love about living in the Bethlehem area? Bethlehem is full of good vibes and good times. There's plenty to do no matter what you're interested in. Main street is what sold me. You can walk down the street and stop into little quirky shops while speakers play music outside. It's beautiful in the summer and even more so in the winter, decked out in holiday gear. The Poconos are beautiful and offer a bunch of wonderful vineyards nearby.
