“During my year in pain medicine fellowship, I had the invaluable opportunity to deepen my understanding of pain management and the complexities surrounding it. The experience was transformative, both professionally and personally. I gained hands-on experience in assessing and treating patients with chronic pain conditions, while gaining proficiency in various procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulators. I learned to appreciate the multidisciplinary approach essential for effective pain management, incorporating pharmacologic, interventional, and complementary therapies.

Furthermore, I appreciated the balance between clinical practice and education. Engaging in one-on-one interaction with attendings and attending workshops on the latest advancements in pain medicine enhanced my clinical reasoning and equipped me with tools to better serve my future patients.”

"St. Luke’s University Health Network’s Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine provided me with an excellent foundation in my training. I believe what sets St. Luke’s apart from other programs is the supportive staff and adaptable learning environment. The fellowship program at St. Luke’s provides trainees with a high degree of autonomy and procedural volume from day one to become a proficient Pain Medicine Physician."
