Critical Care Nurse Internship
About our program
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) Internship Program is a full time intensive educational and clinical application residency aimed at preparing a select group of novice RNs for independent practice in any critical care unit at St. Luke’s University Health Network.

- Bridge the preparation to practice gap
- Focus on promoting leadership, team building, and conflict management
- Critical care clinical orientation is scheduled at critical care units within the St. Luke’s network.

- AACN ECG Module
- AACN Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO)
- Workshops, simulation, and clinical rotations in all critical areas with dedicated preceptor/coaches
- Clinical observations in specialty departments including Emergency Department, OR, Respiratory, PACU, and Pre-hospital Critical Care Transport Services.
- Focused testing and skill validation throughout
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
