What is a Speech-Language Pathologist?
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holds a master's degree from an accredited university and has received specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of speech-language disorders and swallowing disorders. Speech-Language Pathologists are required to complete a full-time internship and to pass a national competency examination by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association for Certification.
Following graduation, our SLPs have also worked as a clinical fellow for one year, working closely with a certified SLP. Our Speech-Language Pathologists are required to hold state licenses.
