“I loved the physician I seen she didn't talk over my head she talked to me any questions or concerns she alleviated any anxieties I may be feeling going into the surgery I felt confident and the anxiety of it just like went away that scaredness that feeling we're not in control of our bodies or something's wrong with it it's easy for our minds to go abroad and also just to let you know people in pain are not going to feel their best so if I answer the questions truthfully that doesn't make a person depressed anybody feels under the weather when they're not feeling up to par you guys do a great job to discern that I didn't feel like my family physician did that. She didn't even check my leg Northern valley St Luke's but she said I scored high on depression that's my old self I overcame all that did the necessary leg work in therapy trauma therapy after my ordeal and overcame a lot of course someone's going to be depressed when it holds you back after overcoming what I did in 2014 I gave back all those medications I even gave back to pain medication when I didn't need them after all my surgeries and overcame a lot. But I love my St Luke's team and I think it's just communication and level-headedness to come to you guys and talk to you not complain to talk so we could better help each other it's communication but no one gets to treat nobody badly and I'm talking about patience I don't know what it's like to be you guys and you don't know what it's like to be me so let's just do this together and good or bad responses let's just fix it let's just make a better community that's what I'm about. I am thinking about changing family providers because they were not really listening to what was happening to me. But they're willing they were willing to dismiss me but not really hearing me people should find out if there's a deeper issue versus cutting people off and that's how I feel but in this case not this provider this provider was amazing if she's a family provider I'll switch to the one I just had now this this doctor right here Valerie I really like her and I'm older so I really like her because she's around my age so the things I'm going through maybe my doctor family doctors too young for me she's just going by what she's reading about me and that's not who I am anymore and I never mistreated anybody ever even in my pain and all my surgeries I've always been kind and in fact I should have five stars behind my name for you guys because I treat everybody like their president of the United States when I meet them or see them and say thank you I'm a different kind of person it's so easy to dismiss each other when we don't like something that happens right I just think it's more courageable to help each other especially in the medical field. I love my St Luke's I love you guys I went from paralysis to walking to graduating from my body was crushed in 2014 I have overcame a lot I don't take no depression anxiety medications I used all the tools that I've learned from the doctor team that was put together for me and my needs I did my homework I did my time and it's up from here this is a little setback right now but I'm up no matter if I would be still in that wheelchair I will succeed and I will have my life back it is back. Hey guys just one more note not everybody knows that your lab moved from that location to Delaware avenue. I just want you guys to be aware of that I hope he's have a great day and you have the most amazing people working at St Luke's. I witnessed nurses having lunch and people that had a wheelchair and couldn't speak because I think they were deaf I couldn't get up to help I have sign language skills but one nurse excuse yourself from having her lunch to help them that in itself told me a lot about you guys that happened at the Anderson campus at the facility specialties facility the GI facility not the GI Center but downstairs where Starbucks is I witnessed this nurse that went outside herself to help somebody and she could have just left them go but she didn't that was awesome that is St Luke's that is who you guys are that is the team I want to be on”

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our
nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
