Stephanie R. Straka DO FAAP is a developmental and behavioral pediatrician with St. Luke’s University Health Network. Dr. Straka heads this specialized branch of pediatrics committed to improving the health and well-being of children, youth and families affected by developmental and behavioral disorders.
Dr. Straka earned her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a residency program at Geisinger Medical Center. She also completed a fellowship at the University of Rochester which provided her the opportunity to take part in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program through the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. She has specialized training in administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and recently served two terms as co-chair of the School of Medicine & Dentistry's Student/Resident Chapter of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry.
For many years, Dr. Straka has worked one on one with individuals with a variety of disabilities in a 24/7 environment and understands the complexities of daily life that affect both children and their families. She performs comprehensive developmental evaluations and subsequent treatments for St. Luke’s pediatric patients experiencing speech, motor, cognitive, social, adaptive and behavioral delays and disorders.

“I'm have no issues with this provider she is very good at what she does and I am satisfied with my sons treatment. The receptionist are very nice and respectful. I love how ST Luke's get back when messages are sent and the respect and kindness when calling for what ever reason. Sure wish a lot other were the same.”

“Dr. Straka is the best provider we have seen over the last 4 years for child's anxiety and ADHD, and always listens to our concerns, is caring, and talks and explains to the child himself as an 8 year old, which we didn't get with the others PA providers at her office.”
