I realized my passion for women’s health care in medical school and found something innately special about the simultaneous care of both a mother and her baby. This drew me to the field of maternal-fetal medicine. It is a privilege to support someone through their pregnancy and navigate the challenges that might arise.
I am a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist. I came to St. Luke’s after completing my fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at New York University, where I learned to take care of a wide array of maternal and fetal conditions in a diverse patient population. During my training, I received awards for both teaching and research. I am particularly interested in research regarding the prevention of preterm birth. However, my true focus is providing compassionate and evidence-based clinical care.
In my spare time, I enjoy barre, cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends and exploring new places around the Lehigh Valley. I am excited to be part of the team at St. Luke’s.

“I had a great experience from start to finish of the whole appointment. From the girl that checked us in and got my vitals ( I really wish I could remember her name because was fantastic), to the ultrasound tech and seeing Dr Megan Trostle. the whole experience was great. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable when I asked questions. I really appreciate the care that was provided to me at the office of Megan Trostle”

“I am here to address my experience in this visit with Megan Trostle and every other interaction I have had with Saint Luke's. My husband and I recently relocated to the Phillipsburg area and I was recommended by a friend to use Saint Luke's for my current pregnancy. To say I am impressed with Saint Luke's is an understatement. Every single doctor, receptionist, PA, nurse, etc. I have interacted with was professional, pleasurable, caring, and genuine. It is obvious Saint Luke's has mastered the art of communication. My previous experiences at other doctors offices did not match up to the level of care received at Saint Luke's. Each doctor I had took their time with me, educated me on pertinent information regarding my pregnancy, and made sure I left feeling as if all my questions were answered. Each phone call I have made was met with somebody who was easy to speak to and never once was I put on hold or rushed off the phone. My husband and I now use Saint Luke's for everything down to his hematologist. I may as well be a spoke person for Saint Luke's for the number of times I have told people about how awesome Saint Luke's is :-P. It is very obvious your patients are your #1 priority over everything and I deeply appreciate everything you all do behind the scenes to make that happen. I even scour the career website every once in a while to see if there are any career opportunities to work in non-medical pediatrics because I could imagine that if my experience as a patient is this good, I could only imagine that it would be the same for an employee.”

“Dr. Trostle was one of the best providers I have had in a while. She took the time to listen to my concerns while showing empathy. She reviewed my ultrasound and asked if I had any questions. She did not appear to be in a rush and demonstrated superb bedside manner. I requested to see Dr. Trostle when I return for my next ultrasound.”

“Dr Trostle showed the utmost compassion during a very difficult visit. This was the only visit I had with Dr Trostle, but she delivered very hard news in a straightforward, kind manner. She answered all of my questions thoroughly in easy to understand terms. Dr Trostle provided very excellent care.”
