“My original appointment was scheduled a month prior to 4/1. That appointment was cancelled by the doctor's office due to emergency surgery that the doctor needed to do. The next appointment that was offered to me was 7 weeks later. I asked about a cancellation list to get an earlier appointment. I was told that there was no waiting list and that I would have to call daily to check for any cancellations. I really don't think that is best practice when I did not cancel the original appointment. I called back in a few days and another person was kind enough to get my appointment moved so that I only had to wait 4 weeks to be seen by the doctor. Some allowances need to be made when rescheduling is necessary due to physician cancellation.”
