St. Luke's Anderson Pediatrics
I am a pediatrician at St. Luke’s Anderson Pediatrics who is passionate about advocacy with special interests in injury prevention and nutrition. Having been born of immigrants from Guyana, a nation with one of the highest infant mortality rates in the Caribbean, children’s health has resonated at my core for a long time. Although one of the most vulnerable populations, children harbor such innate resilience and hope that both inspires and rejuvenates me. I’ve seen the generational ramifications of health inequity in my family, and I want to be an agent in that change while doing my part in realigning health with care. It is a privilege to impact how children view their health from early on, like what my pediatrician did for me when I was young.
My hometown is here in the Lehigh Valley where I was a part of the Easton Area School District during my younger days. I graduated with Honors from Columbia University with my Bachelor’s in psychology, received my medical degree from the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York and completed residency at the Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New York, where I received several accolades in research pursuits, clinical acumen and humanism. I am pleased to return home and serve the community that helped to shape the path I am on today.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading memoirs, cooking, playing my violin, traveling and spending time with loved ones. I take pride in my Guyanese heritage and enjoy celebrating my culture through the dishes that I prepare and music that I listen to!
