St. Luke's Orthopedic Care - Whitehall
I am an orthopedic hand surgeon at St Luke’s University Health Network. One of the many aspects of hand surgery that I find fulfilling, is helping my patients return to their important life activities and hobbies.
I am board certified in surgery, and I have subspecialty certification is surgery of the hand. I have been in practice since 2010 and provide comprehensive care for patients with conditions and injuries of the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow.
I attended medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine. After medical school, I completed a 5-year orthopedic surgical residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After residency, I pursued a fellowship in hand and upper extremity as well as microvascular surgery at UMDNJ- New Jersey medical school. During this additional year of training, I further honed my skills in complex hand, wrist, forearm and elbow reconstruction. I have special interest in Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet Surgery (WALANT) as this can decrease the anesthesia risks of surgery, and it allows more patients the opportunity for better hand function that may otherwise not consider treatment. Patients do not need to have IVs placed, and they can drive themselves to and from surgery on their own if they desire. This technique cannot be used in all types of hand surgery, but the options continue to grow with time. WALANT is commonly used for carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, tendonitis procedures, mass excisions, select Dupuytren’s contracture fasciectomy, and other procedures such as finger amputation.
Outside of work I enjoy traveling with my family and classic car restoration. I currently have one main ongoing project for the past 20 plus years. I am excited to serve the Lehigh Valley community.

“Services were great ! Just wish they could come up to the St. Lukes in Coaldale or Tamaqua. Traffic is crazy down Allentown coming from Hazleton. If could get appointment closer would be great instead of traveling so far. And take the chance of being late for appointments.”
