St. Luke's West Allentown Primary Care
I am a board certified family doctor practicing family medicine in the Lehigh Valley for the past 20 years. My philosophy is to treat each and every patient as though they were a member of my own family. If it’s not good enough for my family members, then it’s simply not good enough. I am down to earth, ready to listen and look forward to caring for you and your family!
I completed my family practice residency at St. Luke’s, and have really enjoyed returning to my home base, serving in the community where I live. I enjoy treating the entire family covering multiple generations, as those relationships are invaluable in truly understanding and treating patients. I have a special focus on women’s health, exercise/fitness and preventive medicine.
Recently, I’ve been part of the St Luke’s Walk with a Doc program and have found the experience very rewarding. I look forward to continuing with many more community outreach programs through St Luke’s.
Outside of work, I practice what I preach. Exercise is a central part of my life, as I enjoy biking, yoga and swimming. I spend time drawing and writing poems for just about any occasion. But my favorite pastime by far is spending time with my own family by either baking, volunteering in homeless shelters, or roasting smores the good old fashion way- in the backyard.

“Dr Fitzsimmons is a wonderful doctor. I never feel rushed. She listens carefully and addresses my concerns. She squeezed me into her schedule for my last visit which I really appreciated. She was running a little late so she poked her head into my room and told me that and apologized. I've never had a doctor do that. I feel confident in her knowledge and the care she gives me.”

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our
nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do
not necessarily reflect the views of St. Luke’s University Health Network.
