I am a Nurse Practitioner who has been in the medical profession my entire adult life. I have been a nurse for more than 20 years and have worked in several different inpatient and outpatient settings at St. Luke’s University Health Network and elsewhere.
I love the connection I make with people, especially children. In a room full of friends, family and strangers, I gravitate to the children, trying to make them feel comfortable. As a nurse practitioner, I feel so fortunate to be part of the pediatric care team that helps my patients’ families make healthy decisions and establish routines. We provide preventative care and are available to assist when a child is struggling with an illness. I have raised my three sons in Palmerton and understand the delicate struggles of balancing family and individual needs.
I believe in establishing a positive, trusting relationship with your primary care provider should start at an early age. I like to connect and get to know my patients and their families, listen to their concerns and put together a realistic plan using evidence-based resources to support the best outcome.
I am particularly passionate about mental health and am dedicated to understanding the underlying causes of mental health struggles. I work collaboratively with my patients and their families to develop the safest, most effective long-term care plans to build a positive future.
At St. Luke’s Palmerton Pediatrics, we’re committed to keeping your care as close to home as possible and, as needed, working with our pediatric specialists and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and to manage chronic health conditions or acute needs.
Outside my professional life, I am a lover of animals, especially my four dogs. In my free time, I love to hike, kayak and travel to see as much of the world as possible. I value spending time with my family, as we quickly forget how precious those memories are when we become distracted by day-to-day life.
