It is an honor and privilege to treat individuals in communities in which I was raised. I employ a humanistic approach to treatment and I truly value the importance of the therapeutic alliance between physician and patient.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist who joined St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2020. I predominately treat the adult population, and I specialize in emergency psychiatry, psychotic disorders (specifically, first episode psychosis), sports psychiatry, addiction psychiatry and the neurobehavioral manifestations of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
In the past, my research focused on the link between suicidality and traumatic brain injury (TBI) in retired professional athletes (both NFL and NHL). I remain interested in the treatment of neuropsychiatric symptomatology in today’s athletes and ways to maximize performance via biological, psychological and social mechanisms.
Outside of psychiatry, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My own hobbies include golfing, exercising and listening to music (everything from country to reggae!). I am a proud alumnus of Penn State University and I devote every Saturday afternoon to watching football!
