St. Luke's Center for Urology - Quakertown
St. Luke's Center for Urology - Allentown
I have practiced general urology in the Lehigh Valley region for more than 20 years. With a special interest in minimally invasive laser treatment of prostate conditions, I have extensive experience in the treatment of urologic diseases, including kidney stones, prostate diseases, urologic infections and cancers and erectile dysfunction.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Yale University in New Haven, CT, I graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. I trained in general surgery and completed my urology residency at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, while serving in the United States Air Force Health Service in San Antonio, TX. I became certified by the American Board of Urology in 1989 and am a member of the American Medical Association, Lehigh County and Pennsylvania medical societies, the American Urological Association and the American Academy of Clinical Urologists.
I like to go sailing at Lake Nockamixon in upper Bucks County and enjoy travelling, especially to visit my daughter and her family in Australia.

“The office people were very friendly and respectful. I love on-time appointments and Dr. Murphy was on-time. He examined me, and we discussed Important information concerning my ongoing urological health issues, and medications. Always very pleased and informed after these visits. Dr Murphy is a no nonsense, straight-shooter when it comes to medicine. I like that.”
