As a physician, I strongly believe patients make the best decisions when they are well informed. I therefore take time to educate my patients about their condition and the treatment options available, including my recommendations, so that together we can develop effective treatment plans. Upper extremity injuries, especially hand injuries that compromise grasp, can significantly impact basic activities of daily living, and seriously affect our interactions with others. My goal is to ensure that each patient achieves the best possible outcome that in most cases is non-operative treatment but can also require surgery.
I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow. I am well-versed in the latest treatment techniques for the many conditions that affect the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow. Having been trained at elite academic institutions, I completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital followed by fellowship training in upper extremity surgery at New York University.
I have also been trained to undertake complex surgical reconstructions for both acute and chronic problems. Currently, I am a candidate member in two prestigious organizations, the American Society for Hand Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. I expect to be a full member of each in the future.
Outside of my professional activities, I enjoy being with my husband and our daughter. I also enjoy fitness training, travel, and good food.

“I saw Dr. Newbury on 09/26/2024 for stitch removal from my trigger finger release surgery that I had on 09/13/2024. I would like to commend Dr. Newbury and her team for the excellent job they did on my trigger finger surgery. The wound closure was superbly done and my scar is barely visible. It is such a relief to have my trigger finger problem resolved. I am able to crochet again and being able to enjoy my hobby once again is very important to me.”

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our
nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do

“My experience with the provider was excellent - and to clarify I did not make the appointment it was made for me by dr z who had no time for me and reached out to dr newberryThankfully Dr newberry was able to get me in at her earliest availability but I feel whoever did the scheduling did me a great disservice by putting me with z to begin with as she informed me her schedule was full and that scheduling should have known thatBottom line is that I was forced then to wait 3 more days in excruciating pain to be seen again in a repeat visit (with a more compassionate concerned doctor) before I was able to get surgery which was Tuesday 1/28Overall Dr newberry and her assistant were wonderful and I give them both high marks for treating me with respect and immediacy in regards to my fracture”
