One of my favorite parts of being a physician is developing relationships with new people and helping them maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. I am committed to spending time with each patient, listening to their goals and concerns, and working together to develop a personalized treatment plan. I enjoy using surgical and non-surgical techniques to treat all common activity related injuries and have particular interest in ailments of the knee and shoulder including ACL or other ligament tears, cartilage and meniscus injuries, rotator cuff tears, labral tears, shoulder and patellar instability, arthritis, and fractures of the clavicle and proximal humerus.
I completed a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Colorado where I treated extreme sports athletes, laborers, and endurance athletes of all ages. I worked as a team physician for the University of Colorado Buffaloes football and basketball teams, as well as the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Rapids professional teams. Prior to fellowship I completed orthopedic surgery residency at Temple University Hospital, medical school at Drexel University, and college at Randolph Macon College where I played football. Today I maintain membership in multiple professional societies including the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
I grew up in Montgomery County and currently live in Allentown. Outside of medicine I enjoy cycling, hiking, camping, and traveling with my wife, new baby boy, and dog.
