I have extensive experience treating traumatic spinal injuries, spinal deformities, and degenerative conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, including the field of motion preservation. I have also spoken and presented nationally and internationally on countless occasions, conducted clinical research, and have been published extensively in the field of orthopaedic spine surgery.
I received my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from John Hopkins University in Baltimore, and went on to obtain my medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Following medical school, I completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and a spine surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
I served as an assistant professor at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY and I am an active member of multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Cervical Spine Research Society, and the North American Spine Society.
When not caring for patients I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons.

“Everything was great, except that the new St Lukes Monroe Campus Hospital needs many more handicapped parking spots in the parking lot. I was lucky I found a spot where the EV charging stations with bags over them that were just built up front & were not being used.”
