I have a special interest in interstitial lung disease, and I am currently leading several research projects with the help of students and residents to examine the effects of the disease on patients and their caregivers. I am also very active in the community raising awareness and providing support for those living with pulmonary fibrosis. Other clinical interests include quality improvement and electronic medical record optimization for the physician.
I earned my medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. I completed both my internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. While at the University of Maryland, I received an award for excellence in resident research. Since arriving at St. Luke’s, I have been honored by the residents with the outstanding teaching award. I have demonstrated dedication to teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
I have presented and served as a moderator at national academic conferences including the American Thoracic Society. I enjoy living in the Lehigh Valley with my wife and daughter. In my spare time, I love coaching my daughter’s sports teams, running, playing soccer and cheering for Penn State.

“Dr. Corwin not only highly qualified, well-informed and professional, he is a deeply caring human being. My case is complex involving many specialties and because of the standard of care for my principal disease, pulmonologists are often the "leader" in a multidisciplinary setting. This is not an easy position for Dr. Corwin and I am deeply grateful for the time effort, and at times humility, he has shown towards the complexities of my case. I hope that SLUHN knows of the excellence of Dr. Corwin and affords him recognition.”

“I wanted a second opinion regarding my lung condition. Dr. Corbin was very nice and we talked about my lung issues and the coughing. I felt he listened to what I had to say and he wants to do bloodwork and PFTs to see what, if anything triggers this cough. I felt very satisfied with his plan though it's a bit premature to really complete a survey on his care as this was my first appointment with him.”
