Harris Theodore was shocked seeing his face in the mirror without glasses following his cataract surgery. I said, ‘holy cow, serious bags,’” says the 70-year-old Allentown man who had worn glasses for 45 years. His glasses no longer hid the sagging, half-moon-shaped pockets of skin under both eyes. He felt he looked older than 70 years old and didn’t like that.
But thanks to plastic surgeon Michael Morrissey, MD, and his team, Harris feels like he looks younger and is grateful for that. During a short surgery called a blepharoplasty, Dr. Morrissey tightened up that sagging skin at St. Luke’s Quakertown, giving Harris the look that he likes.
When he sees himself in the mirror or someone tells him he looks great without glasses, Harris silently thanks Dr. Morrissey and his team. “They all were friendly, professional and courteous,” he says. “They made me feel like my care was the most important thing, and the outcome of the surgery was excellent.”
