Breast Reduction Surgery
From self-conscious to brimming confidence: Plastic surgery changed her body and her life.
Briana “Brie” Pizarro realized early in her teens that bigger isn’t always better. For much of her youth and early adult life, she suffered the discomfort, embarrassment and inconvenience of living with an oversized chest. “I was self-conscious, tried to hide my breasts under loose clothing and wore four sports bras for support when working out or playing sports,” says the petite Bethlehem woman who works for St. Luke’s in Human Resources.
Her transformation came just before her 30th birthday when she went to plastic surgeon Michael Morrissey, MD, for breast reduction surgery. “It was life-changing,” she says. “I wish I had done it sooner.”
Now, Brie is enjoying her new size and new life, able to wear form-fitting clothes and exercise in comfort. She was thrilled with the results and brimming with enthusiasm, equally at ease at the gym and on the beach. She loves (her body even more) and praises Dr. Morrissey and his staff in a big way for her new self-confidence. “They explained every step of the process, answered all of my questions and were available to give me support whenever I needed it,” Brie says. “They were like my partners along the way.”
Brie loved her surgery so much that her mother scheduled the same surgery. Like mother, like daughter, Brie’s decision showed her Mom that it’s never too late to make a change for the better.
