New Specialty Dermatology Clinics: Expert Care for Every Skin Concern

St Luke’s Dermatology is excited to introduce a new series of specialty clinics designed to provide patients with focused, expert care for complex or chronic skin conditions. This initiative brings together board-certified dermatologists who have advanced training and experience in specific areas of dermatology.

Why Specialty Clinics?

Skin conditions can be complex and sometimes need focused attention. By offering dedicated clinics for certain conditions, we can provide more personalized treatment, shorter wait times, and access to cutting-edge therapies. Whether you’re dealing with a chronic condition or need specialized testing, these clinics are here to help.

Available Specialty Clinics

Here are the specialty clinics now part of our program, along with the dermatologists leading them:

● Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Clinic – Dr. Huang Focused on managing this chronic skin condition that causes painful bumps, abscesses, and scarring.

● Affective Dermatology & Psychodermatology, Scar Clinic – Dr. Krakowski Helping patients with skin conditions that are linked to stress, mood, or self-esteem, as well as treating scars from acne, injury, or surgery.

● Contact Dermatitis, Lymphoma, and Mycosis Fungoides Clinic – Dr. Hafeez Offering advanced testing and care for allergic skin reactions and rare skin lymphomas like cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).

● Skin of Color, HS, and Pyoderma Gangrenosum (PG) Clinic – Dr. Ansah-Addo Specializing in conditions that present differently or more severely in patients with darker skin tones. Also offering specialized management for HS and PG. Pyoderma Gangrenosum is a rare, ulcerating skin disease that causes painful sores, commonly on the legs. It may be linked to underlying health conditions such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, arthritis, and other systemic disease. Because treatment requires both medical expertise and careful coordination with other specialists, this clinic provides a multidisciplinary approach, offering wound care, immune-modulating therapies, and ongoing support to help manage flares and promote healing.

● Rheumatology-Dermatology (Rheum-Derm) Clinic – Dr. Braden For patients with autoimmune diseases that affect both the skin and joints, such as lupus, scleroderma, or dermatomyositis.

● Complex Psoriasis Clinic – Dr. Buchness Focused on advanced treatments for psoriasis, including biologic therapies, for patients with severe or resistant psoriasis.

More clinics may be opened in the future, so be sure to keep an eye out and ask your dermatologist.

What This Means for Patients

If you’ve ever struggled to find answers or effective treatments for your skin condition, our new specialty clinics could be the solution. You’ll be seen by a dermatologist who truly understands your specific condition and has experience with the latest treatment options.

How to Schedule

Patients can be referred by their dermatologist to be seen in a respective specialty clinic. These clinics are offered throughout the year on a rotating schedule to make them accessible to as many patients as possible. By rotating these specialty sessions throughout the year, our department aims to improve access to care and streamline referrals for patients with more specialized dermatologic needs.

We’re proud to bring this program to our community and are committed to providing the highest level of skin care through focused expertise, compassion, and innovation.
