The Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund is proud to announce the 21st Annual Justin Sheftel Memorial Softball Tournament, taking place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Allentown at Cedar Creek Parkway West.
Each year, this beloved community event brings together friends, families, and athletes to honor the life of Justin Sheftel, a local student-athlete whose spirit continues to inspire.
The tournament raises critical funds for scholarships and youth-focused nonprofit programs across the Lehigh Valley.
Event Highlights Include:
  •  Softball tournament games featuring sixteen local teams
  •  Family-friendly activities including food trucks, games, and entertainment
  •  A vibrant Silent Auction featuring gift cards, sports memorabilia, and more
  •  Special ceremonies honoring Justin’s memory and tournament milestones
“We are grateful and excited celebrate 21 years of community, competition, and compassion,” said Linda Sheftel, Board Chair. “This tournament is about honoring Justin’s legacy while making a real difference for young people in our region.”
Justin Sheftel was killed in 2005, shortly after graduating from Parkland High School. He was in Ocean City, MD celebrating senior week when he was struck by a car. It was confirmed the driver was speeding and DUI at the time of the accident. The Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund was established in memory of Justin Sheftel, a beloved student-athlete who valued sportsmanship, friendship, and giving back. The Fund provides scholarships to students who exemplify these qualities.
Red Robin is returning with their creative and talented Mixologists in a friendly Mocktails competition. Mike Raymond from Fox Sports Radio will broadcast live from the tournament while St. Luke’s University Health Network and St. Luke’s Sports Medicine will be returning as our Presenting Sponsor along with Phillies Hall of Fame pitcher and St. Luke's Community Ambassador Steve Carlton. They will hold the All-Star Baseball Clinic.
This year’s softball clinic features Devyn Demchak, a Northampton graduate and Drexel University softball player. Both Blake and Devyn are St. Luke’s Rising Stars (NIL student/athletes).
This annual community event is open to the public, and admission is free. All proceeds benefit the Justin Sheftel Memorial Fund, providing scholarships and supporting community programs.
Join us on June 14th and be part of something truly special!
