Penn Foundation Hope-A-Thon Returns to WFMZ
September 29, 2021
St. Luke’s Penn Foundation will once again host its Autumn Hope-A-Thon during a livestreamed event on Thursday, October 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on WFMZ.com. Melanie Falcon, 69 News anchor and reporter, will return as the show host. St. Luke’s Penn Foundation’s Hope-A-Thon is being presented by American Heritage Credit Union.
The Autumn Hope-A-Thon’s theme this year is “The Power of Partnerships.” Viewers can expect to hear stories of how organizations and businesses like Expressive Path, Modern Male Barbershop, Penn Community Bank, St. Luke’s University Health Network, and the VNA Foundation of Greater North Penn partner with St. Luke’s Penn Foundation to care for individuals in need and enhance the health and well-being of our community. Viewers will also be inspired by clients’ stories of hope and poetry and entertained by musical performances from Terri Camilari, Carol Walker, and Hurley in Motion.
In addition to the Hope-A-Thon being livestreamed on WFMZ.com, an online auction will be held. The public is invited to bid on items such as Eagles tickets, a Bear Creek Resort and Spa Getaway, handcrafted items and furniture, Elmwood Zoo gift basket, and more. The auction opens on Thursday, October 14 at 11:00 am and closes on Thursday, October 21 at 5:45 p.m., during the livestreamed event. Visit tinyurl.com/hopeathonauction2021 to register to bid, view the auction items, and to place a bid.
“We are excited to again partner with WFMZ to produce an inspiring and entertaining event and grateful to so many local businesses and individuals who contributed to our online auction,” says Wayne Mugrauer, president of St. Luke’s Penn Foundation. “While we continue to navigate the challenges of a global pandemic, we remain focused on the rising mental health crisis and ongoing addiction crisis. The demand for our services continues to rise, and now more than ever, we are asking for our caring community’s support.”
St Luke’s Penn Foundation is seeking to raise $150,000 through this year’s Autumn Hope-A-Thon and online auction to support the organization’s 25 mental health and addiction treatment programs. St. Luke’s Penn Foundation serves more than 17,000 clients annually through its Sellersville campus and satellite locations throughout Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties.
