St. Luke’s Warren Campus Receives Highest Possible Quality Score from Medicare & Medicaid

St. Luke’s Warren Campus has received a five-star quality rating -- the highest possible score -- from the annual quality and safety hospital review conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS). Only six hospitals in New Jersey received this honor.
The results were based on quality measures collected from 4,500 Medicare-certified hospitals. The quality measures spanned categories including mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, effectiveness and timeliness of care and efficient use of medical imaging.

Wolfe, President, St. Luke’s Warren Campus. “The CMS distinction confirms the dedication and hard work of our medical and hospital staff members and the support and influence of our Network. Without their support, we could not have achieved this level of performance nor the commitment to continuing this standard of care for our patients and their families in the future.”
CMS designed the rating system to direct consumers to the hospitals that provide the best health care and to encourage health systems to improve the quality of the care provided. Only 293, or less than 7 percent, of the 4,500 hospitals nationwide were given the 5-star achievement. Most hospitals earned a three-star rating.
