17th Walk-In Care Center in Macungie

April 26, 2019

St. Luke’s Care Now is opening its 17th location, offering residents of Macungie and surrounding communities easy access to affordable, quality walk-in medical care.

The newest St. Luke’s Care Now is scheduled to open on Monday, April 29, at the St. Luke’s Health Center–Macungie at 2550 Route 100. Hours will be 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday, and 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

“St. Luke’s Care Now–Macungie will provide improved access to quality medical care quickly and at a cost that is generally less than that of an emergency room visit,” explains Joe Cunningham, St. Luke’s Senior Network Director of Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine Services.

St. Luke’s Care Now offers fast, convenient care for minor illnesses and injuries – such as colds, flu, sinus infections, sprains, strains, broken bones and more – when a primary care doctor can’t see the patient immediately. In addition to walk-in medical care, St. Luke’s Care Now–Macungie offers walk-in X-ray and laboratory services and occupational medicine services to employers.

The facility will host an open house on 10 am – noon on Saturday, June 1.

St. Luke’s Care Now facilities are not intended to replace an individual’s primary care physician or manage chronic health concerns. “St. Luke’s Care Now centers are an extension of the local primary care offices,” says Robert Dolansky, DO, St. Luke’s Care Now medical director. “We can take care of urgent medical needs when the patient’s primary care physician is not available. We will then get the patient back to his or her primary care physician for routine care, or help the patient establish care with a primary care physician.”

In addition to the new Macungie location, St. Luke’s Care Now centers are located in Allentown, Bethlehem, Brodheadsville, Center Valley, Easton, Hamburg, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, New Ringgold, Pennsburg, Quakertown, Whitehall and Wind Gap, Pennsylvania; and Belvidere, Clinton and Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
