Sept. 5, 2018 - St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem has been ranked No. 6 in Pennsylvania on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals list.
St. Luke's University Hospital has also been rated high performing in two adult specialties (geriatrics and orthopedics) and seven procedures and conditions (abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, heart bypass surgery, heart failure treatment, colon cancer surgery, lung cancer surgery and treating COPD).
St. Luke’s is the only health care system in central-eastern Pennsylvania to earn Medicare’s five-star rating (the highest) for quality, efficiency and patient satisfaction. St. Luke’s also is the only health care system in central-eastern Pennsylvania to earn the 100 Top Major Teaching Hospital designation from IBM Watson Health (formerly Truven Health Analytics), which St. Luke’s has done repeatedly – six times total and four years in a row including 2018.
