Obstetrician-Gynecologist Joins St. Luke's Expanding Access to Expert Care
November 12, 2018
Expanding access to the Lehigh Valley’s top-rated OB/GYN care, Barbara Eisenberg, MD, has joined St. Luke’s Caring for Women obstetrics and gynecology practice.
Barbara F Eisenberg, MD
Dr. Eisenberg is seeing patients at the all new St. Luke’s Caring for Women Forks Township location and at the St. Luke’s Caring for Women Freemansburg Avenue office in Bethlehem Township.
A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Eisenberg chose obstetrics and gynecology because she wanted the privilege of being involved in patients’ lives during the best and worst of times, she said. “I love that I can support them through all their challenges and life changes both medical and emotional. Whether it is helping someone through a difficult pregnancy or diagnosing a gynecologic cancer, I feel that I can help make a difference and change their lives for the better.”
Dr. Eisenberg has a passion for obstetrics and for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. “With the right indications, these procedures allow for a very rapid recovery,” she said. Also, Dr. Eisenberg treats many other women's gynecological concerns including heavy periods, fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, Adenomyosis and menopausal conditions. She is welcoming new patients.
Dr. Eisenberg lives in the Lehigh Valley with her husband and their two children, a son, 6, and a daughter, 8. “I am very lucky to be able to spend my time being a mother and taking care of my family and caring for my patients,” she said.
Dr. Eisenberg joins St. Luke’s Caring for Women’s other providers including Gail Burgey, MD; Julie Ialeggio, PA-C; Elizabeth Lamb, MD; Toni Nass, PA-C; Kristy-Lee Reiman, CRNP; and Alyssa Stahlnecker, PA-C.
