Walk at Zoo to Raise Funds for St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center

The Lehigh Valley Zoo and St. Luke’s University Health Network will hold a fundraiser walk to support the new St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center, opening later this summer.

Participants in the 1.5 mile walk on Saturday, July 22nd, will have free access to the zoo, a t-shirt (first 250 registrants) and an opportunity to meet Murphy, a 17-foot Masai giraffe and the Lehigh Valley Zoo’s newest resident. The walk begins at 9:00 am, with registration prior to the event between 8:00-8:45. Admissions to the Zoo is included in the $25 registration fee ($40 per household.)

St. Luke’s will also have informational tables set up in the Zoo until 12 pm so attendees can learn more about the Support Center and services offered. All proceeds from the walk will go towards the development of the new Baby and Me Support Center, located at 1425 Eighth Avenue in Bethlehem, which will provide moms and family members with services commonly needed before, during and after pregnancy in one convenient location.

St. Luke’s Baby & Me Support Center will deliver personalized and compassionate care that includes: prenatal and postnatal classes, support groups, lactation support services, post-partum emotional wellness services, an onsite play area, and more. The Support Center represents St. Luke’s ongoing commitment to mothers, babies, fathers and support persons before, during and after they have a baby and to always providing exceptional, quality maternal and newborn care to area residents.
