Esteemed Physician Joins St. Luke’s Northern Valley Primary Care
August 22, 2017
Dr. Stanley R. Walker has been welcomed to St. Luke’s Northern Valley Primary Care with offices in Northampton, Allentown and Bath. He comes to St. Luke’s from his own internal medicine/geriatrics practice, bringing 40 years of experience to the patients and staff at Northern Valley Primary Care.
Stanley R. Walker, MD
“I’m excited to be joining Iqbal Sorathia, MD, who was a resident under my tutelage, and his exceptional team of physicians and staff, so that I can see patients in a well-established, high quality, internal medicine and geriatrics practice,” says Walker, MD, FACP, CPE. “By joining Northern Valley Primary Care, new and existing patients will continue to have access to excellent, concierge-type care as the entire team feels as strongly as I do about bending over backwards to deliver the highest quality care for our patients.”
After completing medical school in Europe and the residency program for internal medicine at Hahnemann University/Easton Hospital, Walker served as associate-in-charge of internal medicine and chief of staff at Easton Hospital, as well as teaching internal medicine and geriatrics at Drexel University, College of Medicine for the past 40 years.
Walker recently earned his CPE, or Certified Physician Executive degree – the medical equivalence of an MBA. He studied the laws and quality of medicine and what physicians need to know in a new healthcare climate with ever-changing regulations. The program also strongly emphasizes the value and efficiency of quality medicine and the belief that by providing quality healthcare, the economics will follow.
