Thousands Enjoyed St. Luke's Monroe Campus Open House Weekend Event
Bartonsville, PA (9/19/2016) — Nearly 3,000 members of the community visited the new
St. Luke’s Monroe Campus September 17 and 18 to explore their new hospital before it officially opens this October. Guests of all ages enjoyed hospital tours that spanned the entire hospital, from the operating rooms and radiology department to the emergency department and the beautifully appointed private patient rooms. The event offered family friendly activities, entertainment, refreshments, free giveaways, chair yoga and many free health screenings. Singer songwriter Regina Sayles and Stroudsburg vocalist Christian Porter entertained the crowd. Kinsley’s ShopRite of Brodheadsville was onsite with fresh produce and healthy food samples and recipes; the Pocono Snake and Animal Farm delighted children of all ages; AT&T and Samsung representatives invited guests to try the “It Can Wait” texting and driving interactive experience; and Pocono TreeVentures gave guests a glimpse of what it’s like to get a bird’s eye view of the Poconos from a zip line. PennStar aeromedical transport, the HealthStar van and emergency vehicles were all part of the attraction.
