St. Luke’s Names Wendy Lazo Vice President of Operations

Bethlehem, PA (5/3/2016) – St. Luke’s University Health Network has promoted Wendy Lazo of Breinigsville to the position of Vice President of Operations. In her new role, she will oversee several departments, both specific to
St. Luke’s University Hospital – Bethlehem, and Network wide.

She began as a database assistant in the Development Office in 2000 and over the years has accepted progressively more challenging positions, mastering each new set of responsibilities. We are pleased to welcome Wendy to our senior management team.”
Most recently, Lazo served as the Network Administrative Director of Specialty Services. In her new role, she will be continue to be responsible for many Network-wide services including Case Management, Palliative Care, Nutrition Services, St. Luke’s Internal Medicine (hospitalists), the Critical Care and Emergency Services, Surgical and Critical Care Advanced Practitioners and the St. Luke’s Pulmonary Associates practice. In addition, she will oversee several of St. Luke’s Bethlehem departments including Trauma/Surgical Services, Acute and Critical Care Service, the Retina Center, and the Gastrointestinal (GI) Laboratories (also St. Luke’s West End.)

Lazo received her bachelor’s degree in business management from DeSales University in 2003 and a master’s in business administration in health care management from the University of Phoenix in 2010. She resides in Breinigsville with her husband Drew and two daughters, Madison and Alexa.
